Seeking Amanda Coumbes Information

I am seeking information establishing the maiden name of Amanda Coumbes.
She had three daughters, Isaline, Clara, and Isabelle. (There may be another daughter that may have died early.) Isabelle married Augustus Milton FINLEY around 1890 - 1900, i believe.
I believe that Amanda was married to a Joel Spencer Coumbes (I find the correct spelling of the last name seems to vary depending upon the source). I believe Amanda was born about 1855-1857, perhaps in Washington or Clark County, Indiana. I think she married Joel S. Coumbes around 1875-1880.
I have more specific info at home but right now I am sitting in a library using a new computer and do not have access to all my records.
I would appreciate any information/light someone might be able to shed on this family for me.

allycat on 2008-01-05 19:40:06Have a go at using this powerful genie search engine The Surname Navigator. It's fairly easy to use and should be able to retrieve signifcant amounts of data on any surname you enter. Click on a country, type in your surname (COUMBES), then press search. If you are using dialup internet connection it may take a while but is worth it. About up to 14 window boxes will open up.
Also make sure you post topics at the genforums as they have a wide audience of readers.
