How certain are you that William PENDERGAST and Margaret HINE could be Catherine's parents?

Hi and thanks for the reply. your information confirms what I have been told as such but Information on her marriage certificate states parents are William and Margaret.Marriage cert also has name as Pendergast..no r.

Hear say from Cathrine's son, now 100, was that she was born as above..she was born 2 months after arrival in Australia.
I can find nothing on them (Michael and Margaret) and some vague information on 2 other children out of 7 who traveled with.
I can find nothing on William and Margaret at all.
Catherine's death certificate gives no DOB only supports Wagga.
I am Catherine's great grand daughter on my maternal side.I feel my search is not going to go very far at this rate!!!. Thanks again hope you may give me a few clues.

This would seem to fit with Catherine being born 2 months after their arrival. It also supports the theory of 7 siblings

Michael birth 1878 possibly not correct one, as according to the ship log he was 2

I just noticed that on the ship log it has May/Mary & Ann born Shropshire, the document is hard to read, they have squashed the first four childrens details on one line.

Thanks asheppard....I took this information to my great uncle and he thinks it's about right!!! fits the story etc. It is the Australian story we are having trouble finding. Just where they all went..Jane married a Direen..Michael never married and Died in melbourne 1952 John was killed aged 19 on 1/1/1885 Hornsby..cant find his death or burial. Mary and Ann and elizabeth are elusive.

Have only so for done a very basic look. found some children from all 3 marriages. will keep looking. Really would like to find the other sisters..Ann and Elizabeth.
