Seeking info on KNIGHT William George Gilbert

William George Gilbert KNIGHT was base born in Mere, Wiltshire baptised 1826 as William Gilbert Knight COWARD. Mother Sarah Coward. Arrived in Australia in 1848 with wife Elizabeth. They lived in Bathurst/Orange area. William and Elizabeth had two known children and possibly one other. I believe Elizabeth died before 1855 as William married Matilda REED and lived in Cassilis as a police constable until his death in 1861. Matilda and William had five children. Any information on this family and William's ancestors would be appreciated.
