living at Dudden Hoe End near Elmdon, Essex.

His father was John Corket
I have managed to get back to 1762 with a marriage of Gilbert Corkit and Mary Smith, on Easter Monday!

If you are successful in finding the birth or baptism I would be interested to know where.

I have managed to get back to 1962 with a marriage of Gilbert Corkit and Mary Smith.

The date 1962 is incorrect - it should be 1762. They were married Easter Monday! But prior to that the scent goes cold.
