simonson family of Brookly New York

Journal by jeana

Carman (Carmon) Simonson was a wealthy butcher in Brooklyn NY. His wife Sarah Ann (sometimes used Ann Sarah.)sent her children to live with Carman's sister (or could be widowed sister-in-law) when he died. Her second oldest son Carman died within a few years of his father. Cornelius (3rd son) married Elizabeth, and after his death she remarried a Redpath and had her last child by Cornelius after his death.
John Simonson was another well known butcher, and may well be the father of Carman. I cannot link them other than proximity of shops and homes. Annoying.
Looking for any information on any of the above. One hint is that Cornelius included the names Benjamin, Jacob and Isaac in his childrens names.
My line continues through Cornelius to his son Cornelius (my ggf)(married a Garbutt, cornelius, (my gf) and Eugenia VanDyke (her mother a Reagan (nee Harrington)Father Michael VanDyke ( of Henry and Mary Sprag). the VanDyke line is the one group that settled in New Jersey after the VanDykes came to USA. Have the VanDykes back to Holland. I am always glad to share information.
