genseek on 2013-02-16 16:16:31HI Ngaire just to add to your Urwin marriages. Albert Edward 1902 first married Amelia Carter (error on BDM Carker) She was deserted by him in the 1930's and he later married my mother's first cousin, a widow Una Margaret Fulford- Quinlivan of Hastings. It was sometime between 1972, Bill Wellwood's death, and Albert's death in 1980. Curiously she was not buried as Una Urwin but as a Fulford in her mother's plot. Perhaps that marriage was not so good either! Gaynor James

genseek on 2013-02-26 00:59:47Hi again Ngaire - there was something really wrong about Albert Edward Urwin 1902 - 1980 marrying Una Margaret Wellwood (Fulford-Quinlivan- 1915-1990. Following electoral rolls etc I found he was married to Dulcie Thodey and also lived nearby in Hastings. Occupations was wrong too. When sorted all out I knew it was the wrong Urwin for Una. In fact it was Ernest Arthur Urwin, a widower . He was the son of Ernest Arthur and Ethel Annie born in 10/5/1905, He married an Ethel as well(Burchett) in 1934( died 1979)-- just to add to the confusion! Una and Ernest married in 8/8/1982 and he died in 1984. Ernest was Albert Edward's brother. they are all in the Hastings Urwin plot Una is in the Fulford -Quinlivan plot
Remarkably there also 2 Una Margarets in Hastings and they both married a WELLWOOD so that was another big mystery. One was Una Diamond m to Lindsay T Wellwood in 1937- all lived in Hastings. Una Urwin died in 1990 cheers Gaynor James(mother Quinlivan)

I am the daughter of Albert Edward Urwin 1902- 1980 who married Dulcie Thodey.It was my Uncle who married Una Wellwood after my Aunty died.My parents had 3 children Anthony Albert 1944 myself Sandra Dulcie 1950 and Janice Rosalie 1953.My Uncle and Aunt had one daughter Pamela Elizabeth born 1938.
