SPENCER, James, 1810-1889

This James Spencer (1810-1889), son of Francis, son of James Squire and Mary Spencer, was married to Mary O'Brien/Bryan. James & Mary did not have any children, confirmed by death certificate/Will. They lived in the Balmain area of Sydney. They adopted Mary's niece after her mother, Elizabeth, died. They are buried together at St Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Ryde.
Caroline Spencer is the daughter of James Michael Spencer of the Cooma district.
Many people have confused these two James Spencers'.

River.

THE FRIENDS of the late Mr. JAMES SPENCER are respectfully invited to attend his funeral ; to move
from his late residence, 5, Adolphus-street, Balmain. THIS (Tuesday) AFTERNOON at 1 o'clock, for Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ryde.
WOOD and CO., Undertakers and Funeral Directors, 799 George-st., Sydney; Balmain, Petersham.

James Michael SPENCER was the grandson of the convict James Squire 1754-1822
