I am looking for the ancestors of Henry Joseph Spohr also recorded as Heinrich Spohr (1838-1895), Henry is the 2nd Great Grandfather of my husband, Anthony Spohr. What I do know:

Birth: 1838 Germany

Departure from Melbourne: 1857, Jan - Aboard the "City of Sydney" travelling with William (Willhelm) Spohr and Conrad Appel.

Arrival Sydney: 1857, Feb 06 - Unassisted Immigrant.

Advertisement placed in the Argus - Melb/Vic to his brother William to contact him at 186 Crown Street, Sydney.

Musician: I know that he was part of a German Band and that they did travel on ships as musicians.

Marriage: 1864, May 9 he married Mary Proctor (1846-1890.

Issue: The following children were all born in the period he resided in Sydney 1. Henry Joseph Spohr (1865-1869), 2. Frederick Henry Spohr (1868-1946), 3. Ada Spohr (1871-1951), 4. Louis William Spohr (1881-1928).

Death: 1895, Sep 08 - Henry died at Pickering near Denman a district of Muswellbrook. I do have a death certificate for him that does not list parents.

I would like very much to have knowledge of his brother William or any other families in Australia, currently have good lineage detail for descendants of Henry but have been unable to find any linkages overseas.
