“Storm “ of South Wales uk & Robin Hoods Bay Yorkshire

Journal by tom55

My late father who was born in Hawsker north Yorkshire and later moved to the bay talked about a book by Leo Walmsley that said that the Storm’s of Robin Hoods bay North Yorkshire England
Originate from a little village just outside of Oslo Norway but the Walmsley society have no recollection
of such a book it is my theory and my theory only is that the Storm name could have derived from the Norwegion name “Strom”and when the vikings invaded the North Yorkshire coast and settled, the Name changed by moving the “R” back behind the “O” making it Storm and not Strom .
If anyone has any information of the name of the village in Oslo and or the name of the book my Late father was talking about, it would be deeply appreciated if you can add some information .
