Journal by oldies

Looking for my SWAN ancestors from U K, I think?
My great, great grand dad (STEPHEN SWAN aged 21, born 1820 and his brother JAMES SWAN, 18,born 1822) IMIGRATED to New Zealand on the Ship LORD WILLIAM BENTINCK, which left LONDON JANUARY 8TH 1841 and arrived in Wellington New Zealand 19th May 1841.I am fairly confident this info is correct. Hope you can help.
Also please ancestry of my great, great Grand mother SARAH ANN FRANCIS was on the same SHIP, born 1830 U K I think?

Also my Scandinavian ancestry JENSEN on my Grand Mothers side ELIZABETH born 1885, not sure where she was born?
Or how she or her Jensen family arrived in New Zealand.
Hope you can help make this family tree.

Hi
Yes you are mostly correct. I am Elizabeth Ann Swan's great grand daughter. My father, her grandson is here in Te Puke New Zealand where I also live. Gran as she was fondly known by lived with my grandmother and grandfather later in life, as she suffered catarachs. Anyway I have a lot of information and you must be a cousin of my father. You are completely right regarding the ship they arrived on. Elizabeth was married twice after her husband William died she married Peter Jenson later, and had I believe another child to him but Dad could tell you. I have a lovely photo of Elizabeth Ann Swan just before she died and she is buried in the Rotorua cemetary. It would be great if this 'blog' makes its way to you so we can have a property catch up as there is much to say. Best regards Viv Lyons,
Viv Lyons 'nee Hooper
Parent Bob Hooper,
son of Leslie Hooper and Lavinia Grace (my beautiful grandmother) Hooper nee Bamby daughter of William Bambry and Elizabeth Bambry nee Swan, who after William died married Peter Jenson and had another child whose name evades me at the oment but Dad would know, so if you get back in touch I will find out. My e-mail address is vivlyons@xtra.co.nz
Elizabeths fathers name was Stephen, (correct as you had it) and his father's name was Thomas. Stephens married Sarah Ann Francis yes from the UK.
Best regards for now
Viv
