My Husband's Grandfather was born in Grass Valley, Nevada County,California, United States of America, 19 May 1875.
His parents were Thomas ROBERTS and Clara nee JULYAN (JULIAN ) both from Cornwall, United Kingdom.
Think they arrived in New York seperately about 1869 and travelled overland to California to work in the mines at Grass Valley. Thomas and Clara married in Grass Valley.I have thr Revord of their Marriage. They had another child born in Grass Valley, Mabel, born 1879.
Would really appreciate some help on finding out more about the birth of Thomas and which part of Cornwall U.K. that he came from. Know all about him after 1880 in New Zealand.
