My last member of the TARLTON direct line passed away 12 Nov. 2015. She is my grandmother and her name is Mary Lee (TARLTON) SMITH. Mary was born 31 Jul 1918 in Lillesville, Anson Co, North Carolina,USA. She married Dewey SMITH Jr.on 15 May 1937 Wadesboro,Anson Co,North Carolina,USA. They had 6 children, 4 or which are living and 2 that have passed away. Their Names are Joyce (SMITH) COMBES, she died in childbirth in 1961. The other daughter to die is Maynette (SMITH) MALLEY. She had cancer.
