David Brereton was convicted in Staffordshire England on the 7 March 1849 and along with 299 convicts transported on the vessel Rodney on the 19 September 1851 to Van Diemens Land for 7 years. He arrived on the 19 May 1852. His ticket of Leave was granted on the 9 April 1853.
