Texarkana-Arkansas/Texas Walkers

Query by 1sunny1

I am searching for family of George Washington Walker in the mid 1800's.He died in Mccurtain county Oklahoma 1932.
Have very little to go on...
He had 6 children that I am aware of:
Noah A.
James W.
G.Calvin
Avery
Clarence
and Vernon
Census varies on the state of birth....
Arkansas and Alabama .
We applied for a death record from the state of Oklahoma
but they can't find it. We know he died there.
We think he may have Louisiana connections because he was there not long before his death.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Also, there are reports of his family before going to Texarkana area was in Alabama and maybe previously
have come frome Ireland/Scotland.
We think he was married 2 times one of the wives being named Miriam Slay.
Most of the census we find were in Miller County Arkansas. The other family members stayed in the Texarkana region,Bowie,Cass & Miller counties in The Ark-La-Tex region.
