THE ELUSIVE HUNTSBERY FAMILY TREE OF NORTHEASTOHIO
THE HUNTSBERY NAME IS SO ELUSIVE THERE ALMOST SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE AN EXTINCT FAMILY. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND MUCH EXCEPT FROM AN ELDERLY GRANDMOTHER OF 83YR OLD,(ELENORA SINGLETON)IN DOYLESTOWN. MY OWN MOTHER,(NORA JANE SINGELTON) IS A RELUCTANT TO UNCO-OPERATIVE PERSON FOR INFORMATION.
IN 1969 I WAS WAS 15YRS OLD AND LEGALLY ADOPTED TO THE NAME WORKMAN. I WAS LIVING IN CLINTON. (20 MILE SOUTH OF AKRON,OHIO).
MY MOTHER HAD SUCCESSFULLY HIDDEN ALL RECORDS PRYOR TO THAT DAY. I REMEBER VAUGE REFERENCES TO A MARRIAGE IN NEW MEXICO AND MY FATHER(CHARLES HUNTSBERY) WAS STATIONED AT A MILITARY INSTALATION IN TEXAS. I KNOW THEY WERE DIVORCED.
(NORA MOVED BACK TO DOYLESTOWN)
I CAN ONLY GUESS MY MOTHER WAS APPROX. 15 YEARS OLD WHEN MARRIED. ELENORAS MAIDEN NAME WAS VINSON. (CHANGED FROM VINSONT OR VINCENT)
IN 1996 I HAD RETURNED FROM OUT OF STATE TO FIND THAT CHARLES HUNTSBERY HAD PASSED AWAY (2) WEEKS PRYOR TO MY RETURN TO THE AREA
HERE IN OHIO. I BELIVE HE HAD A SISTER STILL ALIVE AND IN THE
DOYLESTOWN AREA. I AM STILL LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON THE FAMLILY AND WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT SOMEONE FOR A FAMILY TREE FOR MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDDAUGHTER.
MY HUSBAND ROBERT W.MELTON, FATHER TO MY DAUGHTER, PASSED AWAY APRIL 16TH 2004. HE DID NOT KNOW HIS FATHER. THE SECRET DIED WITH HIS MOTHER.
I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE HER A FAMILY HISTORY AND POSSIBLY AN OPENING TO MEET MY TRUE FATHERS' FAMILY.
WE HAVE (5)GENERATIONS STILL ALIVE ON MY MOTHERS SIDE.
