50 men of the 21st Reinforcements MAORI CONTINGENT Pioneer Battalion embarked on the HMNZT 92 Ruahine on 15 August 1917 and arrived in the port of Glasgow, Scotland on 2 October 1917
- also on board was the 29th Reinforcements N.Z.E.F.

of the 50 men 6 died of disease and 3 died after discharge
