Thoughts on baptism records in Kilmacteige
From looking at the names in the records, I was astounded in the similarities in given names with my immigrant family. They were in America already when these children were born, but the family names are there. I think I may have found where my Ginty family originated from. The Sligo reference on Michael Guinty's military records was a clue. Then I searched the Sligo Tithes list, and found the parish with the Ginty names. Now the baptism records. I just have to find more proof. But I think my family came from Kilmacteige Parish, County Sligo, Ireland.

I'm also researching Guyton, Cole, McAlister lines. Just starting on the GUINTY, SNODGRASS, PIPER line on my father's line. My ancestors came from England, Ireland, Scotland. They settled in Massachussetts, Kansas, Mississippi, Virginia, North Carolina. I have also been researching the Manning line on my fathers side. The Sanders line is nearly complete, exept the large wall between William Aaron and his ancestors (Thanks to DNA evidence disproving a large part of my work, and the work of others!). Would love to hear from any distant cousins I have out there!
