Hi there, this newspaper article on Papers Past gives information about Mary's family.
Regards, R.

CURREY—WELLS St. John's Anglican Church, Hororata, was decorated with flowers and autumn foliage for the wedding, celebrated recently, of Mary, second daughter of Mr L. Wells (Hororata) and the late Mrs Wells, to Harold, son of Mr and Mrs Currey. Dorie. The Rev. C. W. I. Maclaverty performed the ceremony, and Miss E. M. Maffey was organist. A trained model frock of ivory georgette and radium lace over satin was worn by the bride, who was escorted by her father. The frock was made with a cowled neckline and bishop sleeves finished with, frilled lace. A silver girdle defined the waistline, and a coronet of orange blossom held in place her embroidered veil, which formed a train. She carried a shower bouquet of hothouse flowers and maidenhair fern. A Miss Ena Wells, the bride's sister, and Miss Bessie Currey, sister of the bridegroom, wore lettuce-green lace frocks, finished at the necklines with I posies of lemon velvet flowers. Silver girdles at the waists matched the silver flowers in their head-dresses, and they carried bouquets to tone. Little Lesley Thorne, niece of the bride, as flower girl, wore a lemon georgette frock trimmed v ith tiny frills and a Dolly Varden hat. She carried a Victorian Posy. Mr Malcolm Scott (Dorie) was best Lucky horseshoes were presented to the bride by Noeline Mead, niece of the bridegroom, and lan Wilkie. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hororata Hall. Mrs Thorne, sister of the bride, who received the guests, wore a blue suit and a hat to match. The bridegroom's mother wore a brown ensemble and a hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Mrs Barnes, aunt of the bride, wore a brown frock and a brown hat finished with a feather mount. Her bouquet was of hothouse flowers. The bride travelled in a dove-grey tailored suit, a red blouse, and red hat. She carried a fur-trimmed navy coat. Mr and Mrs H. Currey will live at Dorie.

Thank you very much, R. I had found a few articles in Papers Past about Mary, mostly to do with Hockey but had not found this one. This information will help me find out more. Thank you very much :-)
