trying to locate the father of my gggrandfather hiram john whitmore know he was born nov 1824 in rhode island documents say his father was from Ireland where can i go to find this information no record of his birth in rhode island can you help? thanks

lindsidelass on 2011-05-04 23:03:35Have your tried www.familysearch.org? Fill in the name but leave the location out. You might want to get a little "creative" with the spelling if you get no response. Try just using an "H" with the last name, or adding an "e" to make it Whitemore or dropping the "h" to make it Witmore. He may have been born elsewhere and moved to RI as an infant. Happy Hunting.
