Trying to prove relationship between Madison A Morris and Isaac Morris

Query by altaircarolyn

I believe that Isaac Morris (1787-1865) is the father of Madison A Morris (1826-1905), but am unable to prove it to the satisfaction of The Mayflower Society. I'm hoping someone can help.

Hello My great grandfather is William Watts Morris and his daughter is my grandmother. I have gotten back to Isaac but that is it, So like you I need more info. But could you share any family information that you have or pictures? There is a lot my sister and I don't know because we were orphans and are just finding that this is our biological family. It is so neat.

Please share anything you can.

Barbara, since I posted that message I have been able to confirm that Madison is the son of Isaac and Thyrza Morris.

I do not recognize the name William Watts Morris. There are two Isaac Morrises on Ancestry with the same birth date. Isaac #1 was born in North Carolina and married Nancy Cheek. Isaac #2 was born in Georgia and married Thyrza Hinds. Some of the family trees have them mixed up. Some of the trees have one Isaac with two wives at the same time in different places! Why not give me the names from William back to Isaac and we can see which Isaac we're looking at. If you are biologically descended from the Isaac that married Thyrza Hinds, you are a Mayflower descendant.

Good luck in your search,

Carolyn Morris Woods
