My line of Henderson's (GGF, GF & F), were all tied to south-east Missouri, and the small town of Des Arc, in Iron County. The "old home place" and surrounding property remains in the family. As the story goes, Thomas Henderson
(GGF) was deeded a significant amount of property for his services to the Union Army during the Cival War. It should be noted that Thomas (GGF), first entered the war....on the
Confederate side.
It is my hope to hear from others, who might possibly be
related. My GGGF was James Henderson of North Carolina.
I have been told that he was a sea captain, but I really have nothing more to go on. Please, drop me a note!
