I am looking for any information on my great grandfather, Antonio Luigi Ragau and his wife, Emma Lanza. I am trying to start research on this side of my family, but unfortunately I am running into many brick walls. I, and my remaining living family members on this side of the family know very little of this Ragau side of my family. Ancestry.com and other popular websites return absolutely no information on Antonio or Emma.

Antonio and Emma were supposedly born in Isola D'istria in the region of Trieste, which is located in current-day Italy. I unfortunately do not have any birth or death dates. The only information I have is Antonio and Emma had 5 children (4 sons, 1 daughter): Guiseppe (I BELIEVE emigrated to Australia), Romeo (my grandfather), Olivo, Piero and Valena.

I believe this lack of information is due to Yugoslavia no longer existing. I know that records have been absorbed into the countries that Yugoslavia turned into, so the relevant countries in this case would be either Italy and/or Slovenia.

I wish I could give more information but this is just about all I know unfortunately. I essentially know very little about this side of my family and would mean the world to me if anyone was able to uncover ANY information regarding Antonio or Emma, or point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated.
