Hi Ally,
My Great Grandfather's sister was Ada McLoughlin she was married to a John Thomas Ticehurst. They lived and Died in Grenfell. They adopted my Grandfather who was Ada's nephew which was how I became a Ticehurst. I am thinking that John maybe related to Samuel Ticehurst. If your tracing this line I have a copy of their wedding photo, John was quite a handsom man. I am not tracing this line since we are not genetically related and have very little info but would be happy to write a journal and post picture.
good luck with your searches.
Kerry
Dear Kerry, It is very likely that the Ticehurst fellow (not a common surname) you mention is connected to these families.
Happy for you to post pic and read more in a journal.
Quite a few of us (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th cousins etc.) are building a tree at Geni.com. If anyone goes to this website, there will be nothing there and it will ask you to start building your tree.
If anyone wishes to join 'our' tree at Geni.com all they have to do is contact myself, user Lloydmc (as above) and ask us to electronically invite them to the tree using their email address. It's a brilliant interactive family tree site enabling many heads to work on the one branch etc.
Alison.
