Hello,
I followed a blog from 2011 & 2012 about this same Uriah Richards from Westonzoyland, Somerset, England. I have been unable to find his birth record or marriage record (1 May 1834) Somerset, England. Has anyone found Uriah's parents' names and any brothers or sisters? Also in the last post from GKEllis on 2012-5-06, information is given about Thomas and Joan Ellis. Would they be Aunt and Uncle to Elizabeth Ann Ellis' (b: 6 March 1813)?
I would appreciate any updated information. I would be happy to share what I have found in the US which is quite a bit.

I have contacted the Somerset Dorset Family History Society and joined in order to hopefully get more information. They could not find the birth record for Uriah Richards, but they think Thomas Richards and wife Ann (Cariford) are related as they are emigrating at the same time as Uriah and wife Ann Ellis on the 'Henry Bliss' on 29th June 1842. They have a birth record for Ann Ellis and the transcript of the marriage of Uriah Richards and Ann Ellis which I am waiting for them to send to me.
I may now try to contact the nearest Catholic Church to see if they have information on this family.
I will be happy to share whatever I find.
