VANDERHOOF, JOHN and RICHARD

These two brothers appear in 1850 Federal Census(USA)in Livingston, NJ. I can't get back any further. Have no idea when they would have come to this country. Vanderhoofs(Vanderhoffs)are in New Jersey back a ways, but don't know if it is the same line. Anyone out there with information? Thank you in advance.
