Vera Emily London - Richmond NSW

Journal by bributts

I am looking for relatives of Vera Emily London who married Victor Earnest Smith at Richmond in 1913.

It seems she was my Grandmother and the mother of my father Francis Roy Smith. He was born in December 1913 at Kurrajong NSW.

I think she may have changed her name to Thompson after Victor came back from the war.

Dad was in an orphanage and did not know his relatives except his grandad Mr London who he lived with for a while in Richmond before he died.

Any contact is appreciated.

Thanks Jan

I don't know where you get all that info I couldnt find anything on the London's at all and nothing on Dad's mother Vera Emily.

The notes from Clive Eaton suggest she had 3 children to another guy while Victor Earnest was away at the war. How Dad remebered that Vera Thompson came to visit him and his younger brother at the orphanage is a mystery seeing as Victor Smith changed his name much later to Robert Thompson. That was well after Vera died according to your notes.
Dad had no success finding his youinger Brother.

??? it's all a bit of a mystery.

Thats really sad Jan. I would have liked to have been able to talk to him.

What a shame, I wonder if he has any family?

I'm so dreadfully sorry. Yes, heartbreaking.

Another granddaughter 'Lyn', of Alexander Thompson and Vera Thompson has messaged me asking for a copies of the photos I sent you.
Now earlier this year my email was hacked and all my files deleted. Do you remember what photos they were? because I don't. If you could tell me I may be able to find copies somewhere else.
