Hello Bributts, Usually people change to SMITH not from it!
I don't know very much about Victor Ernest, he was the youngest of about 9 children. His brother was Norman 'Wizard' Smith the race car driver. I didn't know Victor changed his name.
I don't know why this post has no other comments on it Jan
We have done a lot of talking about this but there is nothing here.
It seems like a very difficult job finding anyone related to Victor Thomas Smith who died in Nowra on the 23 Feb 2010.He was definitely Dad's younger brother who was in the orphanage with Dad.
There are so many Smiths in the phone book in Nowra. I rang a V smith but he was not related.

I cant thank you enough for your generous support and help in finding my long lost cousin that I have never met. You really are a star and must be a wonderful person to put so much time and effort in helping someone you have never met.
Thanks heaps Jan, Terri has written me and I have responded to her. I am sure will will meet up soon.
Thanks
Brian
It was my absolute pleasure Brian to see your family reunited after so many years. I know it's disappointing your dad and his brother arn't still here to be a part of the celebrations. You and Terri have a lot of catching up to do.
All the very best to you both. Jan
