Walker DNA study

Journal by pwalker321

I am in Group #8 , kit 8853, of the Walker Dna study. My roadblock is my ggfather, W.A Walker. Research from other genealogists shows him as William M. Walker, b. ca 1857 in Hermitage, Mo. who moved to Texas in the 1860's and was in Lamar Co, Tx. in 1870. The death Cert. for my Grandfather, William Avery Walker, Sr. shows his father simply as "W.A. Walker". Without a birth cert. I can't prove conclusively if it was William M. or W.A. Walker.

Everything prior to that truly becomes a "guess" since there is no proven paper trail. A birth cert. for William Avery Walker, b. 4/23/1883 in Burnet, Tx would go a long way to "connecting the dots" in my family tree.

Any assistance would be appreciated!
