Do you have any information on Walter SMITH or his wife Ellen/Ellenor, where in Suffolk were they born?, what year are you looking at for the marriage? any information will help in the search.

Do you have Birth or baptism records, parents names, death records, children's names or births anything at all.

The brides maiden name is recorded on the marriage certificate, unless it's peculiar to Suffolk but I've never come across a marriage without the brides maiden name.

to a sheppard walter was born in belchamp otten he married in the 4th quarter 1860 novemer 23rd. ellen died at age 65 in 1905.they lived in risbridge in suffolk. I believe his parents were george and alice smith Some of Walter and ellens children were walter gertrude annie kate laura and fred.
I read that about the womens maiden names not being on the certificates off of one of the family history things on the computer and as i have never seen a certificate that old i didn't know anything different thanks for putting me right on that. many thanks for your help dayday

I was just looking at the 1901 census where her age doesn't gel but every thing else seems to fit. There is Walter and Ellen and two daughters still at home Annie 25 Gertrude 23 and then 3 grandchildren and then there is a George SPARKES who describes himself as the brother-in-law.and his birthplace is Kedington - same as Ellen.

states that all the children where born in Wixoe.

It shows Walter born in Birdbrook Essex?? in abt 1846 but it should be 1836 transcribed his age 25 instead of 35, it shows Ellen born Kedington Suffolk.

I also found this 1861 Census but the image doesn't match the record perhaps someone else can have a look at it and find them.
