WALTON FAMILY IN AMERICA 1843

Journal by mepcain

My Walton Branch came to America in 1843 from England. Joseph Walton traveled to America with his wife Elizabeth and there 4 children.
John Henry Walton was the first to be born in America. John married Alma Converse. They lived in Wauconda Illinois. They were one of the early settlers of that area. John and Alma had five children. George August Walton being the only son to wed. George married Sarah Jane Almira McCormack (born in Canada). They had four children. Elmer the youngest son is the only one male to have children. Elmer married Mattie Fredericka Goodman. Together Elmer and Mattie had 15 children. Elmer and Fredericka were married over 50 years before they were seperated due to death. Elmer lived to be 92 years old. He died in November 2000. Way to go Grandpa! I miss you! Love Pam
