Was Sitting Bull a Nance?

My Dad was told when he was younger that an ancestor of ours by the surname of Nance was Sitting Bull's Grandpa. I find this hard to believe and am only trying to prove or disprove it. It would be an honor, though, if such a great man were related to me.

Does anyone have any info they could share?

The Standing Rock Sioux tribe keeps Sitting Bull family history, We did not have surnames until the 1900s ten years after Sitting Bull death
