Where is WILLIAM GREATHEAD buried ??

WILLIAM GREATHEAD was born in Yorkshire, England in 1837.
He emigrated with his parents to New Zealand in 1842.
He married Mary Ticehurst in 1861 in the Wairarapa town of Greytown.
He had 10 children (I'm still working on them)
He died on the 20th July 1895 in Carterton, New Zealand but I cannot find him buried in either the Clareville Cemetery in Carterton or the Masterton Lawn Cemetery.
Do you know anything about William? and where he is buried?

neich on 2015-04-01 03:58:35I would say GREYTOWN... I have the Greathead book somewhere, will check it out also often go to Greytown Cemetery, know some Greathead graves there.. Know a Fuller as well, and some buried Clareville cemetery. Know Ticehurst family.. Now there are some GREATHEAD graves at Clareville, on the plans, not necessarily on the website with council, I am trying to rectify that error..found one Greathead but its early 1900s.. no headstone, in Roman Catholic area.. will check with Greytown have their cemetery details here as well.. am a Taphophile... cemetery lady!

neich on 2015-04-01 04:09:04Archer St Cemetery in the PIONEER section! died 1897 aged 33. I am due up there in a few weeks so will check it out, we have a meeting at the LYCHGATE there! its on Masterton Cemetery website with the council!!!! Lawn Cemetery came into being years after he was buried... its what I call the newer area, and now they have Riverside Cemetery out of Masterton as well.. Pioneer cemetery is so interesting to walk around reading the headstones.... if you need more help on the family.. let me know thanks I am at Clareville.
