Who Uses FamilyTreeCircles - 2015 Edition
Back at the end of 2011, I posted a chart of where familytreecircles visitors come from. You can see it here.
And here's an update...
The United States 27.5%
Australia 25%
New Zealand 23.3%
The United Kingdom 11.5%
Canada 4%
Poland 1.6%
South Africa 1.1%
Ireland 0.8%
India 0.7%
Czech Republic 0.6%
Germany 0.4%
France 0.3%
The Netherlands 0.2%
The Philippines 0.2%
Sweden 0.2%
Spain 0.1%
Russian Federation 0.1%
Italy 0.1%
Switzerland 0.1%
Singapore 0.1%
100+ Others 0.2%
It's no surprise to me that Australia/New Zealand makes a strong showing here, and significant growth over 2011, thanks to some of our top users being from that part of the world, also evidence that they're the friendliest people in the world. :)

Scott Jangro is the owner of FamilyTreeCircles.com and has documented roots back to Mayflower passengers Stephen Hopkins and William Brewster. If you're wondering what he's doing when he's mysteriously absent, here's some links to other stuff he's responsible for: about.me/jangro.

To those who live in USA, Australia, England and many other parts of Europe how many I wonder have Roots from Ireland . Family Research is one rewarding adventure and is the one Legacy we can pass on to the next Generation .
I do.
My maternal great grandparents are from Cork. Name Hourihan.
WOW! look at you New Zealand with 23.3%. Nearly a quarter of the pie!
You know Scott, if there's pie on the table and the Aussies have a piece you can bet your life the kiwi's are going to try and get a bigger piece, and a lot of the time they succeed.
They have the most beautiful and friendliest country in the world, apart from Aus.
ha! sounds like a challenge jan
I'm going for a bigger slice ~ see you back here for the 2017 update ;)
Thank you for the update Scott.
I was surprised to see the percentage from Australia and New Zealand viewing the site. Just goes to show that we in the far off lands love FamilyTreeCircles.
When I clicked the 'Thank' button for your journal it turned green, and the 'Flag' button turned red at the same time. I don't think this should happen, but then again I'm not sure if it is used to thank members for journals anymore. I will leave it in your trustworthy hands Scott.
Cheers.
You're on ng, we're expecting a lot of kiwi's to cross the ditch and call Australia home this year.
@tonkin, the flag button turning red is just a bug when you click thank. The thank was registered properly, as you'll see after refreshing this page.
I'm going to transition it over to a vote, same as comments, but still basically the same. Just different verbs. :)
When you take into account that the population of New Zealand is only about 4.6 million people we have a massive share of the visitor numbers.
The only reason NZ has a population of 4.6 million is because they are all living in Australia. And, Lovin'it.
