Wikiriwhi - Ripeka and Hariata
Kia ora koutou
I am seeking any information regarding our Kuia Ripeka Te Kahuwaero and Hariata of the Wikiriwhi whanau.
I know that Ripeka was married to Rowland Charles Davies and that Hariata was married to Te Utupoto Haimona Teki.
Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated
Nga mihi

Kia Ora June,
My name is Jay Rahui Bailey. I whakapapa to Kuia Ripeka Te Kahuwaero Wikiriwhi through her daughter Lucy Hinemoa Davies (Taina Teehi) who married Eruera Poihipi Chase. My Mum is a Chase off of this line. I'm looking for additional info as well but I do have some information that I can email you. My email is maowaiianstylez@gmail.com. I've been told there is a reunion this coming November for all the descendants of Ripeka Te Kahuwaero. I'll share with you any korero I have.

Tena koe Jay. Thank you for responding. I have quite a bit of information regarding our Kuia Ripeka and Hariata Wikiriwhi but very little of the Wikiriwhi whanau. I am willing to share with you what I have and together we may be able to do a small presentation to all the whanau at Korohe in November. I will email you what I have.

Kia Ora Ano,
I have some information regarding Ripeka Te Kahuwaero and her husband Te Wikiriwhi as well as whakapapa going back through Charles Roland Davies as well. My email is maowaiianstylez@gmail.com. I will send you what I have. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the big hui of all the descendants of Ripeka Te Kahuwaero Wikiriwhi in November due to living overseas in the USA. My younger brother who lives in Turangi and my uncle who is the Ratana Priest out at Korohe have been preparing and organizing for the big Hui. I wish I could go and share some of the whakapapa with all the whanau especially since I am so passionate about whakapapa. Anyway, look forward to sharing with you some of the stuff I have
Kia ora ano Jay,
Aroha mai. My Microsoft Outlook is playing up big time and I am unable to send you what I have. I have gleaned some old Maori Land Court Minutes depicting where are Kuia lived at the beginning of this century....Makes for great reading! One of our Cousins Koria Teki has researched heaps as well and is willing to share what she has at our hui in Korohe. We had an excellent hui here in Whanganui on the weekend, and I heard from your Uncle yesterday confirming our booking of the Marae. Be safe, be well over in the States. Nga mihi....June
