William & George Matcham Pitt - 1772 in England

Journal by Pittstopp

I am looking for these 2 brothers, both born in 1772 in England to a Mary Matcham and Robert Pitt. They could possibly be twins. They both went to america apparently before Mary and 5 of her other children travelled to Australia in 1801, after her husband Robert died.

I can not find any information about these 2 brothers, other than they went to America.

You've been waiting a long time for this - and it probably helps you not at all, I'm afraid !

Can you find a Mrs Barbara Lamble, from Sydney ? She provided much that I have just seen in "Their own dear days" by Olive A. Hall (1992) ISBN 0 9513372 1 1. Page 23 - "I am not sure when Mary's position became intolerable, whether it was the death of her two sons - 'killed in America', pressure from her overlord...." etc.. Family tree, etc.

But that was twenty years ago...
