Wilsons from New York to Wisconsin, Missouri, and Oklahoma

Journal by KarenWR

My ggg-grandfather Freeman Wilson lived in Jefferson County, New York(Orleans, Watertown are the most prominent places) until the mid 1850's. He and his family traveled to Wisconsin where some lived in Dodge Co., Wisconsin and then scattered around. So far he is a brick wall. His children's names are: Jane C. Carter, Caroline Shaw, Clark Wilson, Deloss Wilson, Henry Wilson, Sarah Thompson, Lodema Woodfield, Pitt Wilson. I have extensive information on most of these with the exception of Clark and Deloss. Freeman lived in Outagamie County, Wisconsin for awhile and then he with his youngest son, Pitt, moved to Faribault Co., Minnesota. I am descended from his son Henry who lived in a variety of counties. As my father related, he was a cattleman who had a difficult time financially and moved around. He moved to Pierce Co., WI and lived in Monroe Co., WI. In between times he lived in St. Clair Co., Missouri. This is where one of Henry and Sylvia's sons is buried, Abram, my great grandfather. Another of Henry's sons, Frank G. Wilson stayed in Missouri and moved to California for awhile then came back to live in Oklahoma. I have not been able to locate his descendants any further than that. Freeman was last living in either Pilot Grove, MN or near Mankato, MN and died some time between 1887 and 1890. So far no records have been found for his death or burial. I would appreciate any information and I am willing to share in exchange. KarenWR
