Hi Ruth
This is a stab in the dark. I can not help you with your gr grandmother. but noted that you are searching the Edwards and Fisher families. Oddly both of these names have popped up in efforts to trace the Cocking and Whitmore families of which I am a direct descendant. Members of the the Cocking family married Edwards and Fisher in the UK in the 1700's and 1800's. Do you think it is possible that we have a connection here. John Cocking married Anna Maria Whitmore and immigrated to Australia. He changed his name to Roberts between England and Australia.. Just a stab in the dark
