My ggfather was Lewis Wright (married to Martha Shunk) born in Ohio, 29 Mar 1821 and died 15 Mar 1902 in Andrew Co MO. Wright is such a common name it is easily mixed up with wrong relationships. My ggmother, Martha Shunk Wright born 29 Sep 1829 in Ohio and died 16 Mar 1902 in Andrew Co, MO. I understand from family lore that ggpa came from VA and before that probably England. The info I have is that our Shunk family came to PA, from Germany and before tha from France. Family lore says their name in Franace was DuChein, but the went to Germany and changed it to Shunk, Why??? Anyway I would love to connect with anyone looking at the same folks.
