Jason Converse

I am currently working on find documents to support my theory of who Jason Converse's parents might be. Everything I have found points to James A Converse and Lucinda Smith. Both died before 1833 in Brookfield Vermont. However I am having a hardtime proving it because there is another James and Lucinda Converse as well as another James A Converse who lived in the same area.
Jason Steel Converse was born in Brookfield Vermont. After his parents death he lived with his sister and her husband Abrahm Stanley. In 1847 Jason came to Illinois where he met and married Jane Lamphere. Daughter of Henry and Eunice Lamphere. Jason and Jane married and had five children. They are buried in Fort Hill Cemt in Illionis.
