My Grandmother was Married in Whangarei in 1924. She was Madeline Edwards and married George Hubert Harshaw Phillips at the Presbyterian Church near Foxton. The Minister was George W Porchore, and present were my Great Grandfather, Charles Thompson Phillips, "diamond driller", and his wife Lucy Marsden Phillips ne Kemp. Madeline had her parents there - I am looking for William Gladstone Edwards" drafter", and his wife Jane Robinson Edwards ne Sutherland.
My Grandfather George HH, was borne in Freemantle Western Australia
in 1902.
My Grandmother Madeline was borne in NZ., @ 1903.
Charles T, was borne in New Yory USA in 1867.
My Grandfather George was an "engine driver", and worked on a very
large irrigation project before comming to Canada in 1925.
My Grandmother stated on her marriage Cert., that she was borne in
Foxton NZ.
