I am researching my father's family. His name was William John Walker b/ Ballarat 1918 and died Ballarat 1978. Dad's father was Robert Walker b. Ballarat 1881 and died Ballarat 1951. His parents were Robert William Spencer Walker b. Halifax Yorkshire Eng. 1856 and died Ballarat 1922. Robert's parents were James Walker and Elizabeth Spencer and grandparents were John and Elizabeth Smith.
Dad's mother was Cora Mabel Walker b. Ballarat 1886 and died Ballarat 1985 (99years). Cora's mother was William Atkinson b. Ballarat 1861 and died 1929. William's parents were Thomas Christopher Atkinson and Elizabeth Johnson, both from London. They sailed to Australia on the Genghis Khan in 1853.
Cora's mother was Emily jane (Jennie) Hampson who was born in Carngham around 1864. Her father John Hampson came from London and her mother Elizabeth Campbell was born in Melvich, Scotland.
