Bio

I am a 54 year old physician who bacme interested in this hobbie for the last 11 years. My family originated in Virginia, then to North carolina in the early 18th century in Johnston County. The Boon (Boone) family flourished there for many decades, but my branch of the family migrated to DeSoto County mississippi in the 1830's and, too, were there until the early 1900's. A small branch of my family tree moved further to Lonoke County, Arkansas around 1890. I am the first generation of the family to be born in Texas. I am from Dallas, but have lived through my life in other various places in Texas. My wife's name is kyoko whom I met in India (a very long story).

I hope to meet up with others researching the rich history of the Boon (Boone) family.
