I am looking for information regarding my grandfather, Theophilus John Curran, who can to Cape Town, south Africa round about 1898. He can to work for the Nederlandze Bank and then fought in the Anglo boer War on the side of the Boers. He was imprisoned in Ceylon by the English and after returning to South Africa he went into the army and was in Cape town and the Roberts Heights in Pretoria.
If anyone can help with where he came from in Ireland or possibly England I would appreciate it.
