My grandfather, Elonzo DeCalvin STEPP was born in 1889 in Texas. His parents are listed as Joshua STEPP and Nancy Jane (BUTCHER) STEPP. In the 1900 U. S. Census Josh, Nancy J. and Elonzo D. were listed as living in Wise, Texas (Van Zandt county).

Lorenzo F. BEARDEN was born in 1860 in Tennessee. In the 1910 U. S. Census he was lissted as living in Wise, Texas (Van Zandt County). His spouse was listed (in error) as Llewelyn, but her name was actually Louella L., maiden name BELL. They were married 12/04/1887, and had six children: Fannie Belle, Georgia E., Albert A., Carl, Bertha A., and Ben K. Bearden. My grandmother, Fannie Belle BEARDEN, married Elonzo DeCalvin STEPP on 05/07/1907.

My dear little paternal grandmother, whose maiden name was Bertha Ann PROCK (D.O.B. 01/02/1889), had other siblings but I can only remember her sister Hannah. Bertha Ann PROCK, birth state unknown, married Andrew Ervin HUMPHREY (D.O.B. 10/12/1886). Alpha Hazel (married name Mayo), George A. (D.O.B. 04/04/1909), Francis Murl, Douglas, Donald and Wayne HUMPHREY are their children.

I am the oldest child of Francis Murl HUMPHREY and Leona Virginia STEPP.

I would love to find out more about the PROCK family.

L. F. BEARDEN married Louella Bell on Dec. 4, 1887, in Wise, TX. Their first child was Fannie Belle Bearden, born Sept. 4, 1888, in Wise, TX. They had 6 children. I would love any information on the ancestors of Lorenzo or Louella. I think she was also called "Lutie Louella." The census in Wise, TX, in 1910 heard this as "Llewellyn."
