I grew up in the country and the mountians of Southern Oregon. Spent 20 years with aviation, traveled a lot, had my own business and learned to love wood working after I retired two times, the first time when I was 36. No matter where I am at, I enjoy learning the history of that area. The profile picture is of me taken not long befor my father Thoburn FITZGERALD was killed in Ontario, California. My mother, Gladys Marie MERRITT remarried to Harry Ira DOWNES, the only father I have ever known, a great man. He was a test pilot for Lockheed back during the early days of aviation and was Lord Beaverbrooks chief pilot in England just befor World War II.
