Evans family in South Wales and Illinois in 19th century

Many of my ancestors were Evans's living in South Wales. They mostly came from Pentyrch area of Glamorgan. Mary Evans b 1854. Elizabeth Evans b 1825. William Evans b 1825. Some of the family emigrated to the USA, Illinois mostly.

Anyone know anything about them?

Battersby Family in Lancashire, England

I am trying to research my wife's family history. It would seem that her Grandparents were Battersbys who came from Lancashire, particularly the Morecambe area. I would welcome any information on northern Battersbys

Hopkin Hopkins in South Wales

I am currently researching my family history. I am particularly interested to find my Welsh ancestors. There seems to have been a tradition in the family that the eldest Son of each generation was called Hopkin. There is also a seeming variation in the surname between Hopkins and Hopkin.

Has anyone out there got any information? If so I would like to hear from you.

Thanks,

David
