grannyburton on Family Tree Circles

Hi My name is Sandra and i am looking for info. on the Burton family of Van Lear Ky. My great grandparents were James P. Burton and Margret Montgomery.My grandmother Millie Burton was one of several children born to James and MargretBurton.I know of some of the children's names (may not be all) and they are as follows Millie,Lula,Virgie,Roscoe and Willie. My grandmother left Ky. when she was 16 and i don't know what happened to her family after that.She never talked much about her mom and dad but she did say her dad was a minster. I would love to know where the Burtons were buried and if there are some who remained in that area. I would be most thankful for any info. out there.Thank you and may God bless.

I was born to Julius Shepard and Christine Runyon. one of 6 children. My mothers father was Noah Runyon and her mother was Mary Spears. My fathers family is the ones i am trying to get info. about. My father's father was Alan Jay Shepard and his mother was Millie Burton.This is the family we know so little about.My grandmother (Millie Burton) was born in Van Lear Ky. on 10-09-1897 Her parents were James P.Burton and Margret Montgomery. Some of the childrens names were Lula Burton,Virgie Burton,Roscoe Burton and Willie Burton.There may have been more but i'm not sure I am waiting for a little more info. on that. My grandmother left Ky. when she was about 16 years old and moved to Logan Co.Wv.She may have married a Hatfield she had a daughter by the name of Opal Hatfield (my fathers only sister).We know she lived with the Hatfield's for some time.She later met and married my grandfather Alan J. Shepard. They were later divorced and she married John Runyon. At this time that is all i know about the Burton family.If anyone out there has any info. about my family i would love to hear from you.
