joyal on Family Tree Circles

Hi, I am new to all this but totally hooked. My great great grandmother was Bertha Bishop. I have traced her back through familysearch.org to Sir Knight James Bishop, privy council of King James & King Charles. I have no idea how to verify or what to do now. Her father was Joseph Clifton Bishop born around 1800 in South Carolina. The family located mostly in Virginia. Thanks. Joy
