Looking for Hodge family tree connections England to Canada

The first "HODGE" ancestor I have is JOHN HODGE from England. I don't know which part of England and I don't have any vital dates for him but I know he married MARY MAYERS who was also from somewhere in England. They immigrated to North America. I don't know if they arrived at a port in the USA or Canada but they ended up in Ontario, Canada. They settled in Smithfield Village, Brighton Township, Northumberland County in the province of Ontario.
They had at least one child when they left England. His name was SAMUEL F. HODGE born Sept. 1837 in England. He died August 4, 1920 and is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Smithfield, Ontario, Canada.
Samuel married ELEANOR GRIFFIN born Dec. 5, 1835 in Ireland. She died in 1921. They had 2 known children:
1. EDWARD W. HODGE born 1857 in Brighton Twp., Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada He died in 1929 and is also buried in Greenwood Cemetery. I don't know if he married or not.
2. EMMA HODGE (This is my Great Great Grandmother)She was born on November 6, 1858 in Brighton Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada She died March 3, 1942 in Smithfield Village, Brighton Township, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada
Emma married JOHN HENRY SCRIVER born August 22, 1858 in Murray Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada. He died Dec. 28, 1935 in Smithfield Village, Brighton Twp., Ontario, Canada.
I would like to have some help from other HODGE researchers who might be researching this line of HODGE in England in order to trace this line further back in time. Thanks.
