I am trying to trace my father's family.This is very important to my
children and myself.If you have any information that you can share,it would be greatly appreciated.

My father: Robert Garland DAVIS Sr.
D.O.B. May 24,1920 in Lawrenceburg Tenn.
Died January 20,1973 in Auburndale,Florida

His father: George Wiley DAVIS - Died in Sheffield,Ala. in 1964 or 1965
His mother: Minnie Laura MAPLES-Born July 10,1888 in Sevierville Tenn.
Died January 1983 in Auburndale,Florida

My name is Karen Elizabeth DAVIS.I am trying to track my family line.
This is something I have always wanted to find out about.I would love to be able to pass along info on my heritage to my children and grand
children.
I will start with my paternal grandparents: George Wiley DAVIS
died around 1965 in Sheffield Alabama.His father was James DAVIS.
George W.DAVIS was Married to Minnie MAPLES.She was born July 10,1888
in Sevierville Tenn.I am told that they had 14 children,one of which
was my father Robert Garland DAVIS Sr.I do not know all of their names
so I will list the ones that I can:

I have been told that my family is Irish and Cherokee.I would really like to know for sure.
